Music Ministry

Hey everyone. My name is Lee Stogner and I am the worship leader at First Baptist Church. Thank you for visiting our website. I pray it will be helpful as you explore worship options in our community.

The worship hour on Sunday mornings at 11:00 is the highlight of the week as we lift our voices together to praise God, pray together and hear the message of God’s word. Led by talented organist and pianist we “sing out” during our services on at least three hymns from the Baptist Hymnal. Music has been a focus at FBC for generations and we are blessed with an extensive music library that includes traditional and contemporary selections. 

As, “Worship Leader” I encourage you to join us in the music department and become a weekly worship leader as well. We rehearse on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 and enjoy this hour of music and fellowship.

The “choir” is the most powerful worship leader in our congregation. It exists to worship Jesus and to lead others to worship Him too. Please contact me if you would like to join us in leading worship. The fellowship alone will make you realize you made a great choice. Remember, there is nothing more important to the kingdom than leading others to Christ.
